April 23, 2011Dear Sir,Bermuda and its people are being put in a state of mental abuse which may be mind games that disrupt clear thinking. By our unions — one of which has not complied by the Constitution that govern us. The Bermuda Industrial Union who for 11 years has not produced their accounts in accordance with the 1965 Trade Union Act title 18 which states that annual returns to be transmitted to register.18. (1) says that a general audited statement o the receipts, funds, effects and expenditure of every trade union registered under the act shall be submitted to the Registrar before the first day of June in every year and shall show fully the assets and liabilities at the date and the receipts and expenditure during the year.18. (4) states that every officer of a trade union which fails to comply with this section commits an offence against this act because it takes strength to stand up for what is right. or the better thing to do against who may diminish the Trade Union Act 1965.The time has come for the PLP to stand firm and assert its responsibility to the people of Bermuda against hostile unions.RAYMOND RUSSELLPembroke
