Friends bid goodbye to bike crash victim

Friends and family said their last goodbyes to bike crash victim Timmy Pedro in a fitting tribute to the dedicated father who loved his job. The 49-year-old’s coffin was draped in a Bermuda flag and surrounded by floral tributes as it was carried through the streets on the back of one of Island Construction’s trailer trucks.Mr Pedro enjoyed working as a truck dispatcher for the construction company so that he could provide for his family.The father-of-one died when he lost control of his bike and hit a tree on Thursday, April 7. Mr Pedro of Sousa Estate Road, Devonshire, leaves behind his wife of 20 years Theresa and 18-year-old-daughter Laurie.Mr Pedro’s funeral service was held at St. John’s Anglican Church in Pembroke before having a sea burial. He was a keen fisherman who loved life on the water.
