Cabot handed global role at XL Insurance
XL Insurance, the global insurance operations of XL Capital Ltd., has appointed Tony Cabot as director of global programmes.
Based in Zurich, Mr. Cabot will be responsible for leading the unit that provides multi-national clients with compliant and relevant solutions to manage their complex risk management and risk transfer needs across all territories.
By leveraging its underwriting expertise across the property, casualty, professional and specialty lines, and its global network, XL Insurance participates in approximately 1,400 global programmes for many of the world's multi-national companies.
Mr. Cabot brings more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry to his new role, having held various management positions within XL Insurance over the past 10 years, including country manager for Italy and management roles in sales, marketing and client relations. He takes on this role in addition to his current responsibility as product development manager for Continental Europe and Asia.

Flagstone Reinsurance Holdings Ltd. has announced that Dominic Kirby will replace Tom Bolt as managing director of Marlborough Underwriting Agency Ltd. in the autumn.
Mr. Kirby has worked for Flagstone since July 2007, most recently overseeing the marine and energy business and also serving as deputy managing director of Marlborough, where he was instrumental in the integration of Marlborough into Flagstone.
Prior to joining Flagstone, he served as chief underwriting officer for global marine and energy at Navigators Group.
Mr. Kirby will oversee the underwriting operations at Marlborough, working alongside the existing senior management team. Mr. Bolt will leave Marlborough in August to take over the role of underwriting performance director at Lloyds.
