A heavy downpour yesterday brought 1.78 ins of rain in just a few hours.October has been a dry month compared to previous years, up until yesterday Bermuda had only 1.72 ins.On average the month of October brings five inches of rain, as of press time the Island was still below that target with only 3.4 ins.

As flooding started in the usual areas, such as Mills Creek, residents ducked for cover and waited out the heavy rain.
Some were happy though, since Hurricane Igor battered the Island much of Bermuda's flora and fauna has wilted and the lack of rain has exacerbated the problem.
