Thank you, Bermuda!

Once again,I am pleased to write to The Royal Gazette.

Congratulations to your new Government ...

I can only, ever again voice my support for Bermuda and the very special place that it is!

Despite the challenges that exist, crime and misbehaviour, you, Bermuda have the bones to endure and thrive. My family has been blessed to visit Bermuda since 1968,and we relish,with great anticipation any and all opportunities to come back.

Just yesterday, in our small town in Maryland, a Bermudian saw the BDA on our car and hailed the link between the US and Bermuda ... The driver, a bedical student, saw the link, in a simple decal and it made both of our days!

My best holiday wish is one of thanks. In the US we have a Thanksgiving ...

Let my family please offer our thanks to the Bermudian people ...

From the entire staff at The Reefs to every taxi driver that has so cordially met us at the airport and taken us to ModernMart, to the great schoolkids at the checkout there, thank you!

To the great hostess at HogPenny who has welcomed us for years and the team there, Thank you!

To the professionals at KEMH who have stitched up my children and I ... thank you!

To the staff at Brown and Co., and especially Calypso, you are the best! Thank you!

To the guys at the English Sport Shop, great buys, awesome service ...

All in all, we give thanks to the 65,000+ people of Bermuda who wake up every day and exude a spirit that is second to none!

We, this simple family, honoured to visit each year, can only mark this US Thanksgiving Holiday with a salute of deepest gratitude to a people and a country, Bermuda.

May the best days be ahead for Bermuda!
