Postal workers on drug charges

Three postal workers appeared in Magistrates’ Court this morning to face charges of conspiring to import drugs.Hopde Burrows, 31, from St George’s, Michaelia Selvin, 28, from Pembroke, and Anthony Rogers, 59, from Hamilton Parish, were each charged with conspiring with unknown individuals to import cannabis to Bermuda.Mr Rogers is additionally charged with fraudulently retaining a Fisher Price swing set.All three denied the charges, pleading not guilty.Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner released the defendants on $10,000 bail with a surety of like amount and ordered them to return on May 25 to stand trial.Useful Websites: www.bps.bm
