BF&M Ltd. rose 0.4 percent (five cents) on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday.

The insurer traded 400 shares to close at $12.25.

Butterfield Bank also saw 163 common shares and 83 preference shares change hands, but their respective share prices held firm.

As a whole, the Index inched up 0.35 points (0.03 percent) to 1,332.27, with 563 shares worth BD$5,168.95 and 83 shares worth US$103,448.33 transacted.

The BSX Insurance Index also crept up nine points (0.99 percent) to 916.
