Devonshire drops

Devonshire Industries Ltd. plummeted 21.7 percent ($1.95) to $7.05 on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday.

The company, which also released its annual financial results yesterday, traded 400 shares during the day.

Keytech Ltd. fell 6.7 percent (50 cents) to close at $7, with 3,600 shares changing hands, while BF&M Ltd. declined 4.3 percent (55 cents) to $12.20 as 2,352 shares were transacted.

Other traders included Bermuda Commercial Bank Ltd. and Butterfield Bank, which dropped four percent (40 cents) and 2.9 percent (five cents) respectively. Butterfield Bank also traded 91 preference shares, but its share price held firm at $1,200.

The Ascendant Group Ltd. fell 1.4 percent (20 cents) to $13.80, as 3,100 shares changed hands.

The Index, as a whole, dipped 38.48 points (2.81 percent) to 1,331.92, with 9,952 shares worth BD$101,300 and 133 shares worth US$108,770.28 transacted.

The BSX Insurance Index, however, rose two points (0.22 percent) to 911.
