Devonshire climbs

Devonshire Industries Ltd. rose 38.5 percent ($2.50) on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday.
The company, which owns Bermuda Paint, traded 1,000 shares to close at $9.
Other traders included Butterfield Bank, which saw 50,000 common shares and 270 preference shares change hands, and Bermuda Commercial Bank Ltd. and BF&M Ltd., which transacted 10,946 and 109 shares respectively.
The share prices of all of the companies concerned remained unchanged.
The Index, as a whole, climbed 0.94 points (0.07 percent) to 1,262.84, with 62,055 shares worth BD$193,639.30 and 1,225 shares worth US$337,724.25 transacted.
The BSX Insurance Index, however, dropped two points (0.22 percent) to 908.
