Butterfield Bank fell 6.66 percent (10 cents) on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday.

The bank's common shares closed the day at $1.40, with 6,117 shares traded.

But Bermuda Commercial Bank Ltd.'s shares rose 1.31 percent (13 cents) to $10, as 500 shares changed hands.

BF&M Ltd. also climbed 0.77 percent (10 cents) to $13, with 2,200 shares transacted.

Overall the Index dropped 46.4 points (3.62 percent) to 1,233.65, as 8,817 shares worth BD$42,163.80 and 650 shares worth US$6,110 were traded.

The BSX Insurance Index was also down one points (0.11 percent) at 902.
