Butterfield Bank shares dropped 5.88 percent (10 cents) to $1.60 on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday.

The bank traded 2,000 shares during the day.

But BF&M Ltd. saw its shares rise 0.4 percent (five cents) to $12.55, with 2,210 shares changing hands.

Argus Group Holdings Ltd. transacted 106 shares, but its share price held firm at $6.50.

The Index, as a whole, fell 47.39 points (3.45 percent) to 1,324.97.

The BSX Insurance Index slipped 11 points (1.16 percent) to 935.
