Butterfield Bank dropped 2.63 percent (five cents) to $1.85 on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday.

The bank traded 3,953 shares during the day.

The only other trader was Argus Group Holdings Ltd., which saw 3,000 shares change hands, but its share price held firm at $6.50.

Overall the Index fell 23.87 points (1.62 percent) to 1,451.36, as 6,953 shares worth $26,823.65 shares were transacted.

The BSX Insurance Index was up seven points (0.77 percent) to 915.
