BNTB falls 90 cents

Butterfield Bank was the big mover on The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) last week, falling 90 cents (14.06 percent) to cap a miserable week's trading for the bank.

The bank closed at $5.80, with 127,310 shares traded.

Utilities was the busiest sector, as KeyTech Ltd. and Belco Holdings Ltd. underwent rises of 45 cents (4.71 percent) and 20 cents (1.25 percent) respectively.

KeyTech closed the day on $10, with 7,500 shares changing hands, while Belco transacted 100 shares to finish up on $16.20.

Bermuda Aviation Services also traded 100 shares to climb five cents (0.9 percent) to $5.55.

BF&M Ltd. traded 2,320 shares, but its value held firm at $16.

The Index, as a whole, dropped 141.45 points (5.88 percent) to 2,404.32, as 138,330 shares worth $842,154.10 changed hands.

The BSX Insurance Index also dropped 6.86 points (0.95 percent) to 714.81.
