Flyers off to East Coast
Nine athletes from Flyers Track and Field Club will be travelling to the East Coast of the United States to represent the team in overseas meets.
As several of the club's athletes recently competed at international events while representing Bermuda and have just returned home, or are heading off to the Pan Am Junior Games, only nine athletes are set for the trip.
Donna Watson, president of the Bermuda Track and Field Association (BTFA) expects a good showing from the squad, especially Dage Minors who should place high in his respective events.
"They should put in some good performances even though it is just a few traveling," said Watson.
"I will be looking for some good results and they should be coming back with a few medals. Dage Minors should do very well in all three of his events that he has entered in his age group and based on the entry list he should definitely be in the top three."
