Log on for a virtual tour of St. George's through the years
The St. George's Foundation has launched a new website highlighting its educational programmes.
Visitors to www.stgeorgesfoundation.org, can virtually travel around St. George's through programmes such as the World Heritage Digital Field Trip and 'A Day in the Life'.
In commemoration of Bermuda's 400th anniversary, the 'A Day in the Life' series focuses on Bermuda's early settlement and the tentative steps to forging a living in a new land including living history narratives.
Director of Education Leondra Burchall said: "Our website is the proverbial 'Jewel in the Crown' of the myriad historical and cultural resources that are on offer at the St. George's Foundation and we encourage everyone to visit the World Heritage Centre."
She added: "We would like to offer our heartfelt thanks to Advocates for Bermuda's Children (ABC), an outgrowth of the 1979 International Year of the Child Committee. Once ABC disbanded in the 1980s they began searching for a programme that would reach and profoundly enhance the lives of children. We are proud The St. George's Foundation was seen as a viable partner in such a worthwhile endeavour."
