La Serena Spa at The Reefs Hotel has been named one of the Top 15 Oceanfront Spas worldwide.

The honour, which was awarded by Ocean Home, a luxury coastal lifestyle magazine, features only an elite group of international resorts.

Margarita Dodwell, La Serena Spa director, said: "In creating La Serena, we wanted to make it a luxurious sanctuary that meets the needs of local residents and our hotel guests, and of course, capitalise on The Reefs' stunning ocean views.

"It is rewarding to see this vision come to life and to be so well-received by Bermudians and the spa community."

Spas were chosen for their oceanfront location, use of local ingredients and range of services. La Serena was the only Bermudian spa on the list.

The spa — which opened in the fall of last year, was also honoured in April's Condé Nast Traveller, which named it the #5 Top Spa in the Caribbean.
