Sims looks to regain his Nationwide form

Michael Sims will be hoping to put his recent disappointing form behind him when the Nationwide Tour's Melwood Prince George's County Open begins on Thursday.

The Bermudian missed his second consecutive cut at last week's Rex Hospital Open after rounds of 73 and 78 left him at six over par and tied for 151st at the half-way stage.

Sims had a slim chance of making the cut after his first round, but two double-bogeys and two bogeys put him well off the pace on Friday, and despite birdies at 12 and 14, he was always struggling to make the cut.

While Sims has struggled in his last two tournaments, his early season form saw him rise to 39th on the tour moneylist and was enough to qualify him for the remainder of the Nationwide Tour. This week's event is at The Country Club at Woodmore, in Mitchellville, Maryland.
