Senate to meet today
Calls for a Joint Select Committee to implement Public Access to Information legislation are on today's Senate agenda.
The Order of Business for this morning's Upper House includes a Motion by Senate Opposition Leader Michael Dunkley, notice of which was given on March 12.
The Motion is: 'That the Senate recommends that a Joint Select Committee be established to oversee the introduction and implementation of Public Access to Information legislation in Bermuda.'
Orders of the Day also include readings of The Dental Practitioners Amendment Act 2008 and The Park Hyatt (St. George's) Resort Act 2008, and consideration of the granting of a Leasehold Interest in Land and Property forming the St. George's Club to the St. G Club Ltd.
Senators will also discuss 'The Proceeds of Crime (Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorist Financing) Regulations 2008.'
