Two Warwick break-ins

Thieves broke into two homes in Warwick, stealing jewellery and personal items.The first theft took place sometime during the workday on Wednesday.According to Police, the break-in occurred at a house along the Railway Trail. At approximately 7.20 p.m. officers were contacted by the complainant, who stated an "unknown culprit gained entry into her home" while it was unoccupied, sometime between 7.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. The culprit made off with a quantity of jewellery.

The first theft took place sometime during the workday on Wednesday.

According to Police, the break-in occurred at a house along the Railway Trail. At approximately 7.20 p.m. officers were contacted by the complainant, who stated an "unknown culprit gained entry into her home" while it was unoccupied, sometime between 7.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. The culprit made off with a quantity of jewellery.

The second incident occurred later that evening.

Officers were called to a Harbour Road home around 12.15 a.m. According to the residents, they discovered "an unknown man" on the property at approximately 11.55 p.m. The male complainant confronted the suspect, however he was able to escape on foot towards Darrell's Wharf with a black-coloured men's wallet containing a quantity of cash and personal items and a black-coloured ladies' handbag containing personal items.

The suspect is described as a black male with dreadlocks, believed to be in his late 20s or early 30s. At the time of the incident he was wearing green clothing.

Inquiries into both incidents are underway.
