Police recruits wanted

The Bermuda Police Service is looking for new recruits.Yesterday, Deputy Commissioner Mike Jackman said he hopes to fill several vacancies with locals. He added that the number of vacant spots was expected to increase in the New Year.He said: “ We believe in the current economic climate that there are a number of Bermudians looking to change occupations and the Bermuda Police Service presents a very viable option.

Yesterday, Deputy Commissioner Mike Jackman said he hopes to fill several vacancies with locals. He added that the number of vacant spots was expected to increase in the New Year.

He said: “ We believe in the current economic climate that there are a number of Bermudians looking to change occupations and the Bermuda Police Service presents a very viable option.

He said the police are looking for Bermudians who are:

l Between 19 and 49 years of age

l Bermudian or the non-Bermudian spouse of a Bermudian

l Possess a school-leaving certificate with good academic standing

l Committed to serving your community and upholding the law

l Honest and possess a high degree of integrity

l Team players, highly motivated, decisive and calm under pressure with good interpersonal skills
