Police have named 25-year-old Kareem Raynor as the man found dead in the kitchen of a Pembroke home.

The Royal Gazette reported yesterday that a man was found "in an unresponsive state at a Dundonald Street, Pembroke premises" shortly after 6 p.m. on Tuesday.

Shirley Parsons, who reported the death, said she had taken him in as a houseguest because "he didn't have anywhere to stay".

The Pembroke resident said she believed Mr. Raynor had succumbed to a sleeping disorder he was believed to have had.

Police yesterday said that an investigation will be held into the circumstances of Mr. Raynor's death

Added a spokesperson: "The Bermuda Police Service extends our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased. An autopsy is anticipated."
