l The Beating of the Retreat will take place on Front Street in Hamilton on October 29 at 8.30 p.m. The Commissioner of Police and various dignitaries will be on hand for the traditional display by the Bermuda Regiment Band and Corps of Drums.

l On Friday, October 31, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. all three Police stations, Hamilton, Somerset and Southside, will be open to the public.

All essays for the 'Commissioner for a Day' contest should be sent to the Police Media Relations office by e-mail at pmr@bps.bm by Monday, October 20.
