Tenth man charged in Cup Match fight

A 24-year-old charged with offences relating to an alleged fight at Wellington Oval over Cup Match, was remanded in custody.

Kenneth Caines is the tenth man to appear in Magistrates' Court on charges relating to the alleged fight on July 31.

The Devonshire resident was charged with riotous behaviour, aiding someone who was in lawful custody and obstructing justice.

He pleaded not guilty to the offences.

The alleged fight broke out on the bar and upper veranda of St. George's Cricket Club around 8 p.m. on July 31. As many as 5,000 people were in attendance.

Caines will reappear in Magistrates' Court for mention on August 17.
