Firefighters were called out to a small blaze at an opticians' in Melbourne House, Parliament Street, yesterday.

The fire started when paper ignited as staff at Argus Optical Company were heating a chemical solution at about 11 a.m.

It was out by the time Bermuda Fire Service arrived at the scene, and damage has been described as minimal.
