Football fans flooded bars yesterday as Manchester United took on Chelsea in the final of the UEFA Champions League.

One woman who answered the phone at the Docksiders bar, on Front Street, told The Royal Gazette that the place was packed with supporters.

"Why isn't your ass here?," she questioned with roaring fans bellowing at the TV monitors in the background. "Hello! Royal Gazette, get with it! You're more than invited to come on in."

The same question was asked to a man who answered the phone at the Robin Hood Pub.

"Are there a lot of people here? Is this a joke?" the man reacted in a heavy Scottish or Irish accent.

"There's a lot of people here mate, yes. It's jumping around here."
