Due care case goes to the Supreme Court

A woman faced indictable charges of due care when she appeared in Magistrates' Court.Lynell Bettyann Blind was charged with causing Michael DePonte to suffer a fractured skull by driving in a reckless manner on March 28. She was also charged with causing Jason DePonte to suffer from broken ribs, punctured lungs and a dislocated right collar bone on that same day.The 49-year-old Sandys woman was not required to enter a plea as her case must be heard in the Supreme Court before a jury.

Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner granted her bail in the amount of $5,000 plus one surety to appear in Magistrates' Court on May 29.
