Kevin Brown pleads not guilty
LOS ANGELES (AP) – A son of Premier Ewart Brown yesterday pleaded not guilty to molesting a dozen women.
Kevin Antario Brown, 38, entered the plea to 33 felony sex counts in Los Angeles Superior Court. He could face life in prison if convicted of all charges.
During the Los Angeles-based doctor's pretrial hearing, 12 alleged victims including an undercover vice officer and a 15-year-old girl, testified that he improperly touched them over the course of five years. Some said he gave them breast or vaginal exams when they went to him for complaints ranging from an ankle injury to the flu.
One woman alleged he raped her.
A call to Brown's attorney seeking comment was not immediately returned.
Brown returns to court on May 28 for a pretrial hearing.
