Woman rode cycle while impaired

A Wheels Cycles employee admitted to driving while impaired when she appeared in Magistrates' Court.

Jebrie Hill, 20, pleaded guilty to impaired driving after she was seen riding a motorcycle without a helmet in the early hours of April 12.

The court heard from Senior Crown counsel Carrington Mahoney that Hill was travelling north on Burnaby Street at 2.25 a.m. while Police were patrolling the area.

Officers pulled Hill over and noticed that her eyes were glazed, her breath smelled of alcohol and she was unsteady on her feet.

She was taken to Hamilton Police Station where she took the alco-analyser test. The results of the test were not disclosed in court.

Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner fined Hill $800, she was issued ten demerit points and banned from driving all vehicles for 12 months.
