Rights body celebrates 60 years of Universal Declaration

To celebrate 60 years of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Bermuda's Human Rights Commission is hosting a poster and writing competition.

The theme is "One World, One People" and the Human Rights Commission is asking students to show what this means to them through posters, essays or poems.

There will be six age categories with students from aged four to six, seven to nine, 10 to 12, 13 to 15, 16 to 17 and college-aged from 18 to 24.

The winners in all categories of the competition will win a prize.

While the winners from both the poster and writing contests will be entered into a grand prize draw for a trip to the United Nations in New York.

All posters and written submissions must be delivered to Aardvark Communications no late than Friday, November 21, 2008. The awards will be presented on 10th December, 2008.
