Finance Minister Paula Cox is expected to give second readings to seven pieces of legislation aimed at ensuring Bermuda-registered companies operate within a framework that promotes growth and investment.

Much of the legislation is aimed at creating extra options for partnerships and streamlining the registration process.

Ms Cox is also likely to put forward the draft Price Commission Order 2009.

Several items are expected to be carried over, including Premier Ewart Brown's controversial Prohibition of Gaming Machines Amendment Act 2009, which would allow gaming on cruise ships while in port but is opposed by some PLP backbenchers.
