Rates of dues will be changed as a result of new regulations under the Marine Board Act. Catamaran ferries will face charges of $600 per hour, while tugs will have to pay $1,200 per movement, as part of a stream of amendments under the Marine Board (Seaborne Services) Regulations 2009.

Other regulations mentioned for consideration by Premier and Transport Minister Ewart Brown at the House of Assembly yesterday were the Marine Board (Light Tolls) Regulations 2009; Marine and Ports Authority (Port Dues) Amendment Regulations 2009; and Marine Board (Pilotage Dues) Amendment Regulations 2009.
