Bermuda's airport gets high rating - again

For the second year in a row the Bermuda International Airport has been recognised as one of the best for overall passenger satisfaction.

Bermuda placed first in the Americas under 15 million passengers category and came fourth world-wide in its size category.

The award was accepted by Bermuda International Airport general manager James Howes at the ceremony last Thursday at the Global Service Excellence meeting in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

"I thank the knowledgeable and talented employees of the Bermuda International Airport, whose dedication to excellence has made this honour possible," said Mr. Howes.

The results are based on the annual global airport monitor report, which evaluates airports world-wide in 28 areas of airport performance, Bermuda had the highest score of any airport in North and South America for overall passenger satisfaction and received top marks for courtesy of staff, security and check in facilities.
