The theme for Heritage Month, celebrated in February, has been announced — A Journey Through The Centuries.

Keeping in celebration with the Island's 400th anniversary, The Ministry of Culture and Social Rehabilitation will take a trip back in history highlighting notable events that occurred in each century.

Minister of Culture and Social Rehabilitation, Dale Butler said: 2009 allows us the opportunity to reflect on our achievements and our failures. We understand how we must continue to carefully craft a balance in our development of our land, provide for a growing population, evaluate economic gains or losses, solve unemployment issues, and confirm family and civic values, traditions and cultures which we must hold dear as we strive to create an all encompassing vision for the future success of our country."
