Bermuda suffered its sixth road fatality of the year last night, with the death of a 79-year-old man in St. George's.

According to a Police spokesman the senior, who lived in that parish, was involved in a single-vehicle collision on Mullet Bay Road around 5.15 p.m.

He explained: "It appears that a motorcycle was traveling east on Mullet Bay Road when the rider lost control and collided with a wall. The St. George's man was subsequently pronounced dead by an on call physician."

Inquiries were ongoing at press time, and the man's name had not been released.
