Assessing Dr. Brown's Premiership

With Dr. Ewart Brown's tenure as Premier of Bermuda coming to an end, The Royal Gazette starts a three-part series tomorrow on his four years in office.

Our coverage will kick off with a look back at the key moments of his term from his defeat of Alex Scott in a leadership battle in October 2006, through to his farewell as he makes way for the Progressive Labour Party's new leader at next Thursday's delegates' conference.

We'll remind you of some of the things he's said — and some of the things others have said about him.

Later in the week, we'll report views from the general public and key members of the community on how they think his tenure has panned out, and how Dr. Brown will be remembered in years to come.

And you'll be able to get an insight from some of the people who've worked closely with him as he steered Bermuda through, in his words, four years of action and execution.
