A motorist was caught drink-driving after he crashed into a parked Police car.
A breathalyser test on Keevon Holdipp, 22, showed he had 135 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood. The legal limit is 80 milligrams.
Holdipp, of Pembroke, was stopped by Police at 12.30 a.m. on the outskirts of Hamilton. Crown Counsel Cindy Clarke said officers were pursuing him on "an unrelated matter" from The Lane in Paget as he headed towards Hamilton.
"The officers caused the car to stop in Crow Lane. The car then swerved into a parked Police car," said Ms Clarke.
When officers arrested Holdipp on suspicious of impaired driving, he told them: "I've had a couple of beers."
