A man was stabbed in the forehead after responding to a knock at his door in the early hours of the morning.

Police say the 47-year-old victim knew the visitor and let him into his home at Brown Estates Road, Hamilton Parish, at about 5 a.m. on Sunday.

The pair were having a conversation when the offender, a 20-year-old Smith's man, attacked the victim with what officers describe as a bladed article before running away.

The Hamilton man was taken to hospital by ambulance. His injury was said to be not life-threatening.
