Death Valley Playground in Southampton will be closed to the public from Saturday evening and throughout Sunday so the site can be prepared for the PGA Grand Slam of Golf.

The area, close to the entrance of Port Royal Golf Course, will be used for cycle parking and for spectators to enter the venue during the Grand Slam on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Environment and Sports apologised for any inconvenience the closure may cause, and thanked the public for their cooperation.
