Child porn case sent to Supreme Court
A man was charged with making child pornography and alleged sexual exploitation of three girls under the age of 16. The 24-year-old Sandys resident faces two indictments.
The Crown alleges that between May 7, 2008, and June 3, 2009, the man touched the mouth of a child under the age of 14 with his penis on two occasions.
The man is further accused of two counts of knowingly making child pornography and three counts of accessing child pornography.
In the second indictment the man is accused of having unlawful carnal knowledge of a girl between the ages of 14 and 16 on two occasions between May 7, 2008, and June 3. He faces two further counts of accessing child pornography and four counts of knowingly making child pornography between these dates.
The man is also accused of touching a child under the age of 14 with parts of his body on an unknown date between December 25, 2008, and June 3.
The charges were heard during a preliminary inquiry at Plea Court yesterday. Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo referred the matter to Supreme Court. The man was remanded in custody until the next arraignments session on September 1.
