Personal development courses prove attractive to many

More than 100 residents have enrolled in a series of personal development courses offered by Government.

The Community Education & Development Programme was established to help persons meet today's social and economic challenges.

On offer are a variety of courses including nutrition, computer literacy, debt-free living and entrepreneurship.

"These courses provide a means of empowerment geared toward low to high-income families and individuals to empower themselves and adapt to meeting these social and economic challenges in a real and meaningful way in our economy," said a Government spokesperson.

"The benefits of these courses have direct impact and positive results as indicated in the number of people from all walks of life enrolled in these courses."

The programme was described as a "success" by Minister of Culture & Social Rehabilitation Dale Butler, who encouraged more people to participate.
