CoH wets roof of new work depot at Bull’s Head
The City of Hamilton held a roof wetting for its new 20,000 sq ft work depot yesterday.
The building, on the north side of Bulls Head car park, was one month behind schedule but came in “slightly under” the $11 million budget Mayor Charles Gosling said.
It will accommodate the City’s 97 works employees and include offices, mechanical and electrical areas, a paint shop, sign-making office and staff cafeteria
Mr Gosling said: “Our specific thanks go to the engineer, Patrick Cooper, for spearheading this project, ensuring all the necessary people, resources and material were in place to successfully complete this building and again do it within budget.
“I look forward to seeing this space in full operation as we bring all of the engineering, sanitation and parks operations as well as other administrative functions into one purpose-built building, continuing to find new efficiencies, new ways to run our city.”
