Due to an editing error, a story in Monday’s newspaper did not contain the correct amount that Bermuda Regiment recruits are paid following an allegation from a member of Bermudians Against the Draft that the pay was “something like $5 a day”. In fact, basic recruits are paid around $135 a day and also receive free meals and uniforms.
