A 24-year-old man appeared in Magistrates' Court yesterday to deny he sexually assaulted a ten-year-old girl by touching her "with a part of his body".

The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded not guilty to committing the offence on a date between September 1, 2007 and November 30, 2007.

Acting Magistrate Juan Wolffe released him on $5,000 bail and ordered him to return to court on June 6 for mentioning.
