CCS selected as ATP for Cisco's UCS
Local IT firm CCS Group announced yesterday it has been selected as the first Authorized Technology Partner (ATP) for Cisco's United Computing System in Bermuda.
The designation means that CCS can sell, install and support the product on the Island. The ATP network is by invitation only, with partners required to have relevant market and technology credentials. The announcement marks the fist time that a technology company in Bermuda has earned the credential from Cisco, which is widely regarded a global leader in Internet networking.
"CCS is honoured to have been selected as an ATP partner for Cisco's United Computing System," said Wayne Scott, the company's CEO.
"Although Bermuda is a small country, the market demands extremely advanced technology solutions with on-island expertise to implement and support them."
The UCS unites network, computing and storage access into a more efficient system, while reducing the costs of a company's IT infrastructure. CCS also announced that it would be holding a seminar on Wednesday June 30 at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute (BUEI) to officially launch Cisco's UCS in Bermuda. Representatives from the company will be in attendance.
