Senator David Burch will represent Bermuda tomorrow at the funeral of the late Prime Minister of Barbados David Thompson.

Mr. Thompson, 48, died in his home on October 23 after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

Col Burch, the newly named Minister of National Security, said: "While this is indeed a sad occasion, I am honoured to represent Bermuda in this capacity.

"Prime Minister Thompson was a friend of Bermuda, and it is only fitting that we show the support of not only the Government of Bermuda, but also the people of Bermuda."
