Five companies rise
No fewer than five domestic board companies saw their share prices rise in a positive week of trading on the Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX).
Bermuda Press Holdings Ltd., owner of The Royal Gazette, was the biggest climber, gaining 17.6 percent, or $1.50, to close on $10, as 5,500 shares changed hands.
Insurer BF&M Ltd. also made gains, climbing 45 cents, or $3.60, to close the week on $13, as 6,400 shares traded.
Watlington Waterworks also gained 40 cents, or 3.3 percent, to close on $12.40, while Ascendant Group, owner of electricity company Belco, also jumped 40 cents, or 2.9 percent, to $14.
Bermuda Commercial Bank was the other climber, gaining 13 cents, or 1.3 percent, to close the week on $10.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index gained 9.41 points, or 0.73 percent during the week, to close on 1,281.38.
