KeyTech falls 8.5%
KeyTech Ltd. fell 8.5 percent on light volume yesterday, sending local stocks lower yesterday.
The telecommunications firm, owner of the Bermuda Telephone Company and M3 Wireless, fell 65 cents to $7 in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading, as 800 shares changed hands.
Butterfield Bank, on the first trading day after it announced a $0.2 million profit for the second quarter, remained unchanged on $1.45, as 1,000 of its shares traded.
Insurer BF&M Ltd. also saw trading activity, as 2,100 of its shares were exchanged and the share price stayed unchanged at $13.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed on 1,244.25, down 8.13 points, or 0.65 percent. Volume was 3,900 shares and turnover was $34,350.
The BSX Insurance Index fell four points, or 0.4 percent, to close on 943 points.
