Ascendant Group Limited led trading in an otherwise quiet day on the BSX yesterday. The parent company of Belco gained 3.92 percent to close at $14.55, on the trading of 5,388 shares.

Butterfield Bank closed unchanged at $1.90, after 3,500 shares changed hands.

All other domestic stocks saw no activity yesterday.

The Royal Gazette / BSX Index gained 4.82 points, or 0.33 percent, to close on 1, 479.76.

Volume was 8,888 shares and turnover just shy of $85,000.
