Grammy-award winning artist and headliner for this year's Bermuda Music Festival, Beyonce, called Bermuda "one of the most exotic places I've ever travelled to" in a new promotional video.

Ms Knowles is featured in a video for Walmart where she talks about her experiences on the Island.

The three-part video shows her in various locations around the Island including a beach, Crystal Caves and the Fairmont Southampton doing a photo shoot for her clothing line, House of Dereon.

The end of the first video shows the performer doing sound checks before her October 2 performance at the National Stadium and footage from the performance itself while Ms Knowles does the narration.

In the video she said: "One of the best thing about my life is seeing the world.

"In my 12 years of being a professional artist, I've seen so many wondrous places. And Bermuda was one of the most exotic places I've ever travelled to."

Ms Knowles explained she and her mother, Tina, decided to do the campaign on the Island because "what better backdrop than the Atlantic Ocean".

The second shot was in her "favourite blue dress" on a balcony of what appears to be the Fairmont Southampton.

Of the photo shoot, Ms Knowles said: "We were fighting time. The storm was on its way. The dark clouds over my head and the wind even more powerful than the rocks.

"It was dramatic and it felt cinematic like a mysterious movie about the alpha queen of nature of who used her powers to control the universe.

"In my mind, it was like I was controlling the wind. Until the rain starting pouring down and brought me back to reality. I was just me and it was only a fantasy."

The singer shot her final photo shoot at Crystal Caves. She said: "I didn't know a place this beautiful actually existed. Only something much bigger than you and I could create such a place".

Beyonce said she was looking forward to her Music Festival performance because she hadn't performed with her band in about a year. "I was dying to be reunited with my first love, the stage", she explained.

In the next two parts, Beyonce shows footage of her performing at National Stadium along with footage of her in various parts of the world doing charity work including India, Ethiopia, Nigeria and Romania.

The final video shows footage of Beyonce recording her new album including clips from her new music video, "If I Were A Boy".
