A man was arrested on suspicion of riding a motorcycle while impaired after Police saw him ignore a red light.

A Police spokesman said that at around 9 p.m. on Saturday, Police at the corner of Front Street and Burnaby Hill saw a man travelling west on a motorcycle drive fail to stop.

Police followed the motorcyclist and eventually stopped him on Cedar Avenue.

After he stopped officers noticed he was having difficulty standing and was unsteady on his feet. The man was arrested and taken to Hamilton Police Station.
